User Content Policy

This policy applies to content users submit, upload, post, send, or display on TanksConnected.

What counts as user content

• Forum posts and replies.
• Tank profiles, fish lists, notes, and aquarium information.
• Chat messages and private messages.
• Profile details, display names, avatars, and user descriptions.
• Photos, images, links, or other uploaded/submitted material.
• Support reports, feedback, and bug reports.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the content you submit. Only submit content you have the right to use and that follows the site rules. Do not upload or post anything illegal, abusive, explicit, stolen, misleading, or privacy-invasive.

Content rights

You keep ownership of content you create, but by submitting it to TanksConnected you give the site permission to store, display, process, moderate, and use that content as needed to operate the site and provide its features.

Photos and images

• Only upload images you own or have permission to use.
• Do not upload private images of other people without permission.
• Do not upload explicit, abusive, graphic, illegal, or unsafe images.
• Fish, plant, aquarium, and equipment photos should be accurate and not deliberately misleading.

Moderation and removal

TanksConnected may remove, hide, restrict, or review user content if it appears to break rules, creates risk, is reported, causes technical issues, or needs review for safety/security reasons.

Reports

If you believe content breaks the rules or infringes your rights, use the report tools or support form.

Backups and deletion

Deleted or removed content may remain temporarily in backups, logs, moderation records, or security records where needed for site operation, safety, audit, or legal reasons.
