Child Safety Notice

TanksConnected is a fishkeeping community and aquarium management site. Some features allow users to communicate with each other, so safety rules matter.

Personal information

Users must not share or request private personal details such as home addresses, phone numbers, passwords, payment details, school locations, workplace locations, private contact details, or anything that could put someone at risk.

Inappropriate behaviour

Sexual content, grooming behaviour, exploitative behaviour, harassment, coercion, threats, or attempts to move vulnerable users to unsafe private contact are not allowed.

Chat and private messages

• Public chat is limited to verified users and may include account-age restrictions.
• Private messages can be reported and blocked.
• Private messages are not actively monitored by default, but may be reviewed if reported, flagged, or needed for safety/security.
• Direct message features may be limited or changed as the site develops.

Reporting safety concerns

If you see behaviour that may put a child, young person, or vulnerable person at risk, report it immediately using the site reporting tools. If there is immediate danger, contact emergency services or the appropriate safeguarding authority.

Moderation action

TanksConnected may restrict accounts, review reports, preserve moderation records, remove content, or take other action where needed to protect users and the site.
